Friday, we have the King of Wands.

This is a great card heading into the weekend. Wands courts are not only fiery and passionate, they know how to have fun. They humor, entertain, and sometimes enter histrionics.

In the spirit of the King of Wands, have some fun this weekend. Enjoy yourself, laugh, and have a great weekend.

Wednesday, February 19, 2014 – Patterns

Wednesday, we have the 8 of Cups.

The 9 of Cups is often called the wish card and contains its various related interpretations. But today, the 8 of Cups will share the 9 of Cups meaning because its placement before the nine in the suit.

Sometimes, you get what you wish for and there’s a problem: it doesn’t turn out the way you had hoped, you lose all desire for it once you get it, you don’t know what to do, and other gripes. People with Venus in Aries can struggle with this since they generally lose interest once they’ve conquered the object of desire.

Now that you’ve gotten what you wished for, what do you do now?

Some people pursue the next dream (or love object) and repeat this over and over. But they are dissatisfied in the end. They are stuck, repeating the 8 of Cups.

There’s nothing wrong with repeating something, so long as you are getting somewhere! But if you are repeating a pattern, getting nowhere, and feeling dissatisfied each time, it’s worth a closer examination.

There is no easy, cookie cutter solution for this. You’ll have to do things like ask why something isn’t working, examine your expectations, look at your own actions, and break a pattern that does not work for you.

However, the 8 of Cups offers some guidance. Six of Cups conveys harmony and Two of Cups conveys a meeting. If you can meet the harmony in yourself and in your life, you’ll be much closer to getting what you really want or need.

Can you relate? Have you untangled yourself from a pattern?

Tuesday, February 18, 2014 – King of Investors

20140218-001127.jpg

Tuesday, we have the King of Pentacles.

This King knows where to invest his money. He’s like the Warren Buffet of Tarot. The King is interested in physical things and building financial security. He likes to have a lot of money and have nice things, but he does not necessary go around spending much in general. He is a saver and a keen investor.

Today would be a good day to take stock. Check to see if your investments (not necessarily monetary investments) are performing in the direction you’d like and make adjustments if necessary. How does it match your short term goals? How does it match your long term goals?

Review to see if you’ve missed or overlooked anything.

With the Moon in Libra, a Venus-ruled sign, themes of money and partnerships will be highlighted for a few days. Thus, this exercise would be one way of using the energy in the sky.

What type of things do you invest your energy in? What results do you want to achieve?

Monday, February 17, 2014 – Busy Bee

Monday will be a typical Monday with the 8 of Pentacles.

This card is related to work, craft, and productiveness. It can also be about spending time perfecting one’s craft.

In the context of a Monday, well, it’s Monday.

Mondays are often busy.

On the plus side, nothing too dramatic should happen. That would’ve happened Friday.

Do you like Mondays?

Sunday, February 16, 2014 – (Almost) Spring Cleaning

20140215-160325.jpg

Sunday, we have the Pope or Heirophant.

It’s a good day to do some cleansing. Get stuff off your mind. Relax and rejuvenate.

How you do this could be very individual.

You might meditate, literally go around cleaning, do yoga, take a bubble bath, use aromatherapy, pray to your diety, go to church, do Tai Chi, practice magic, tend to your garden, pray to ancestors, talk with your friends, eat vegetarian once a week, go to confession, or more.

The point is to foster centerness and peace in yourself.

Are you at peace? Do you do something to center?
