Thursday, March 20, 2014 – The Pisces Effect

Thursday, we have the King of Cups.

You may be feeling very generous and giving today. It’s the Pisces effect, exaggerated. The Sun will be at 29 degrees Pisces, a significant degree in astrology. Any planet at 29 degrees is significantly energized by the sign it is in.

Interestingly, the King of Cups alludes to the Sun’s movement into Aries the next day on March 21st. Kings are associated with the Emperor which is associated with Aries the Ram. The Sun is also representative of a father figure or king (Sun rules Leo).

It’s an interesting blend. I’d capitalize on all things Pisces today because once the Sun goes into Aries, the season will have very different flavor even though Mercury will still be in Pisces.

How do you feel about Thursday?

Thursday, February 27, 2014 – Wishes

Thursday, we have the Sun card and the Moon in Aquarius.

If you are having a lot of yearnings lately, you can chock this up to the Sun in Pisces. The Moon in Aquarius complements this theme since Aquarius and the 11th House in astrology are associated with hopes, dreams, wishes, and long term desires or goals.

You may find yourself announcing wishes. “I wish…”

Maybe you’ll get together with a group or your friends and share your wishes.

All in all, the day will be peaceful and pleasant.

Do you have any lingering desires lately?

Monday, February 24, 2014 – Ebb and Flow

Monday, we have the Queen of Cups. Sensitivity is heightened.

If you are receptive, this is a time that realizations bubble up to the surface and occur to you. People will pay more attention to messages or information from the ethereal. The Sun is in Pisces.

At the same time, the Moon is in Capricorn. Reality feels stark. Sensitivity to criticism and rejection is also heightened.

As a benefit of the Neptunian/Piscean influence, there is some respite. You may transcend the effects of the Capricorn influence in a number of ways. You might fail to notice, being in a bouyant mood. You may feel good to be of service, or you might use a Saturn-Neptune trick of skewing your perception of reality.

Either way, the effect is temporary as the Moon will move on to Aquarius in 2-3 days, so if you feel bad or depressed during Capricorn Moons, you can breathe easy knowing that the effects won’t last.

If you feel like keeping to yourself or hiding today, it would actually be better to do the opposite and get out and face your fears head on.

Capricorn rewards those who face their fears.

I understand if you’d prefer to pull the covers over your head. Being empowered is another option.

When you’re not feeling so strong emotionally, what do you tend to do?

Saturday, February 1, 2014 – How well do you steer?

Saturday, we have the Two of Pentacles again.

With Venus Retrograde, I’m experiencing a lot of delays when it comes to buying things I need. What should’ve only taken a few days has turned into two weeks.

At least Venus turns direct today.

Today will be much like yesterday, except with the Pisces moon, there could be additional spaceyness and confusion. There could also be more forgiveness and tolerance today.

In a rush to get things done, be sure the important things you must do are done correctly and properly. This would be Virgo advice (sign opposite of Pisces).

How are you faring?

Saturday, January 4, 2014 – 2 of Swords

Saturday, around noon Central Time, the Moon conjuncts Neptune and moves into the sign of Pisces, giving the collective an underlying dreamy mood.

There’s also a Cardinal Grand Cross in the sky creating tension. And it will be there until early June.

The card for today is the Two of Swords.

It seems to indicate that there will be some strife or internal conflicts.

For example, you may want to dream, pine, and vegetate today, but you can’t because of your commitments. Or, you might do the above, but feel irritated that you did not carry out your commitments. It’s not a day you can have it all.

In effect, you’ll have to compromise about something. That isn’t necessarily bad.

In the Waite-Smith deck, the card shows a woman holding two swords in perfect balance. In some decks, she is shown balancing on a rope or surface, and in the Thoth, the card is related to Libra, the sign represented by scales.

You’ll have to balance your priorities, even if the difference between your desires is vast. Keeping those swords evenly balanced and up is a feat, but you can do it if you are determined.

If you are confused as to what the right choice is, you would align with what’s important to you and what you feel is best for you. Use your intuition.

If you make the right choice, I think you’ll feel more satisfied and at peace at the end of the day, even if you didn’t get to do or get everything you wanted. You did what you needed.

Did you grapple with something today?
