Thursday, May 15, 2014 – Rush

Thursday, we have the Knight of Swords.

You may feel rushed and somewhat anxious. You may feel pushed. Whether this is an internal drive or driven externally, you’ll be encouraged to be on the move.

Best to get moving in either case. Moving creates release.

Are you on the move? Tell us about it.

Saturday, February 8, 2014 – Intellect

20140207-225559.jpg

Today, we have the 5 of Swords with the Moon in Gemini.

Usually, 5 of Swords is associated with defeat, pride, that guy you hate, and ego (as depicted in the Raider Waite.)

I’m taking a different approach because this was drawn from a different deck. Numerology, suit, and element can convey additional meanings to your usual interpretations.

Fives are smack dab in the middle of the suit. Events or desires can turn on a heel. You can go forward or you can turn back – your decision.

Today, the card isn’t about fighting or arguing or any of that. Though it could be a result of mental sparring.

Today, the card is about intellect. Your intellect can be sharp or dull, trained or left to waste, usual or unusual.
It’s much like a sword.

Moon’s in Gemini. I’m feeling Mercurial today. Are you?

In all, I think it’s saying use it or lose it!

Gemini, swords, and air are associated with books, trickery, wits, thoughts, communication, analysis, words, debate, education, the mind, and intellect.

Are you doing something airy today?

Sunday, February 2, 2014 – Delays

Sunday, we have the Three of Swords.

There may be disappointments and general crappiness.

You may not get to do what you wanted to do or planned to do today. Things could be put on hold or delayed.

I know there’s the superbowl tomorrow and people usually gather. My area has a weather alert for freezing rain or snow, so people may stay home. I’m also supposed to go somewhere, but the place might not be open due to bad weather.

You do the best you can and make the best of it. That’s how it is with the Three of Swords. Moon in Pisces lends the ability to transcend.

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 – Capricorn Moon and Reality

20140129-000804.jpg

Today, we have the Three of Swords.

If you are prone to daydreaming, that’s okay today, but I advise being careful of walking off any cliffs.

Like the Fool in the Fool card who seems oblivious to the cliff ahead, it’s advised not to recklessly step into traffic because you think the speeding, on-coming car will stop for you based on the momentary fancy that you’re impervious today.

Moon’s still in Capricorn (reality).

There’s no need to be paranoid. Just listen to your intuition. If you are in the habit of ignoring your intuition, this is a good day to listen to it because it will keep you out of harms way even if your mind is off in space. If something seems strange to you or you take special notice of something, your intuition is likely telling you something. There’s a reason you took a second look.

Are you in tune with your intuition? Do you listen to it? Do you act on it? Are you in the habit of ignoring it?

Friday, January 24, 2014 – Moon in Scorpio

20140123-232334.jpg

Today, we have the 2 of Swords and the Moon enters Scorpio.

It reminds me of the book I am currently reading.

Swords are thoughts. People can get distracted by details and lose sight of what is really happening. Like when the magician creates an illusion by drawing attention to the left he is doing something on the right.

Magicians aren’t the only ones who do this. People sometimes do this too. They want you to look in another direction while they’re covertly doing something else. They put up a distraction.

A person can also distract themselves with too much mental clutter, failing to see what they intuitively know.

The advice for today is to listen to your intuition and not get distracted by the ‘show’, even when you’re the one creating the show in your head.

How are you feeling under the Scorpio Moon? Are you looking below the surface?

Monday, January 6, 2014 – A Soldier with Deep Faith

20140105-205424.jpg

Mid-day on Monday, the Moon moves into Aries, joining Uranus in Aries in the Cardinal Grand Cross.

We also have Four of Swords.

This card is usually about resting, but with Moon in Aries in the sky, the interpretation is different. It relates to the first half of the day with Moon in Pisces.

I remember reading somewhere that knights used to contemplate as pictured above before they went to battle. Notice the stained glass window in the background. The knight is in a church.

Half the day will be spent in contemplation… preparation for the battle. Deep faith (Pisces) is involved. Once the Moon crosses into Aries, one’s will will be consolidated, and it’s off to the battlefield.

The Aries energy does not exactly harmonize but joins the team. Aries is cardinal. Moon in Aries matches the energy of the Cardinal Grand Cross and works as part of it.

With energy like this in the sky today, there’s a lot of potential.

You have a soldier who’s decisive, focused, and committed, fighting for something they’ve contemplated deeply and have deep faith in.

Do you see yourself using this energy to your benefit?
