Friday, January 24, 2014 – Moon in Scorpio

Today, we have the 2 of Swords and the Moon enters Scorpio.

It reminds me of the book I am currently reading.

Swords are thoughts. People can get distracted by details and lose sight of what is really happening. Like when the magician creates an illusion by drawing attention to the left he is doing something on the right.

Magicians aren’t the only ones who do this. People sometimes do this too. They want you to look in another direction while they’re covertly doing something else. They put up a distraction.

A person can also distract themselves with too much mental clutter, failing to see what they intuitively know.

The advice for today is to listen to your intuition and not get distracted by the ‘show’, even when you’re the one creating the show in your head.

How are you feeling under the Scorpio Moon? Are you looking below the surface?

Saturday, January 4, 2014 – 2 of Swords

Saturday, around noon Central Time, the Moon conjuncts Neptune and moves into the sign of Pisces, giving the collective an underlying dreamy mood.

There’s also a Cardinal Grand Cross in the sky creating tension. And it will be there until early June.

The card for today is the Two of Swords.

It seems to indicate that there will be some strife or internal conflicts.

For example, you may want to dream, pine, and vegetate today, but you can’t because of your commitments. Or, you might do the above, but feel irritated that you did not carry out your commitments. It’s not a day you can have it all.

In effect, you’ll have to compromise about something. That isn’t necessarily bad.

In the Waite-Smith deck, the card shows a woman holding two swords in perfect balance. In some decks, she is shown balancing on a rope or surface, and in the Thoth, the card is related to Libra, the sign represented by scales.

You’ll have to balance your priorities, even if the difference between your desires is vast. Keeping those swords evenly balanced and up is a feat, but you can do it if you are determined.

If you are confused as to what the right choice is, you would align with what’s important to you and what you feel is best for you. Use your intuition.

If you make the right choice, I think you’ll feel more satisfied and at peace at the end of the day, even if you didn’t get to do or get everything you wanted. You did what you needed.

Did you grapple with something today?
