Saturday, January 18, 2014 – Justice

Today, we have the Justice card.

I am reading Gavin De Becker’s The Gift of Fear, and I found it interesting that DNA is can be so influential. The book asked that you think about your roots, your blood, your childhood, and your motivations in order to understand yourself and others better.

The Justice card is all over this. Justice is about cause and effect. In this case, I thought about the effects of the previous generation on the next on the next and so forth. And then there you are in the present! The result of generations of cause and effects.

The next layer of Justice is the duality, the polarity, the two sides of the story. Do you project a part of yourself you do not accept onto someone else? Do you blame others for your own issues? Are there parts of yourself you have in common with those you wish to distance yourself from? Is it your face staring back at you?

Another layer is the responsibility aspect. Accepting all parts of yourself, taking responsibility, and exercising free will to choose your actions, whatever situation you’ve been through.

Lastly, Justice reminds us that all our actions have consequences. Karma. If you do something, there is a result. Back to the beginning: cause and effect.

Do you think about these kind of things? Where did your train of though lead you? Do you see the Justice card in your life?

Friday, the Moon remains in Leo and we have the Strength card.

You may be inclined to draw on your creative power. You could be inspired today!

‘No task too difficult. No problem too big to handle.’ These phrases illustrate the confidence and energy that bless you this Friday.

This is a very positive card that reminds us “You can do it!”

Confidence, willpower, and creativity are the keywords for today. Fun and play are also associated with Leo. A night out sounds good.

Do you have plans Friday?

Thursday, January 16, 2014 – Flexibility is an Asset

How good are you at rolling with the punches? How flexible are you?

Today, we have the Two of Pentacles. This card is often interpreted as ‘juggling’ money or managing one’s finances and cash flow. It can be that, but pentacles are also about work. Thus, the card can be interpreted as juggling priorities, juggling commitments, and managing workload.

If you’ve been busy lately, today will be another busy day. Being rigid won’t help you. How well do you deal with what comes your way?

If you have planets in mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), being adaptable is more natural to you. For the rest of us, we can learn since being adaptable is a skill. In fact, you may have already learned to be adaptable in some areas as it is necessary in an ever-changing world.

The card is for today, but the insights you get from it can apply to your life. How flexible are you? How well do you adapt? Do you see areas of your life where you could be more flexible? Is there an area of life where being rigid isn’t working for you?

I had to be adaptable when I accidentally erased this entire post with no backup.

Tuesday, January 14, 2014 – Day Before the Full Moon in Cancer

Early Tuesday morning the Moon moves into its native sign of Cancer.

For today, we have the 10 of Cups.

If you’re familiar with Tarot, you might find this funny in the way Tarot can be.
Tens mark the completion of each suit and Cups are usually associated with water. Describes the full moon in Cancer, a water sign.

Further, the 10 of Cups card shows a family who is happy and celebratory. Cancer is associated with family, cooking, nurture, mothers, women, the home, one’s homeland, and more.

Today will be a good day. Just look at the card!
