Wednesday, May 14, 2014 – Power

Wednesday, we have the Strength card along with the Full Moon in Scorpio.

You may feel pulled in different directions.

The energy of the Full Moon is potent, especially in the sign of Scorpio, so it’s advisable to look for ways to use this energy wisely.

The Strength card is depicted in the RWS as a maiden who harnesses the Strength of a lion by taming the beast through her will. It can speak about harnessing your own power.

How’s it looking, heading towards the Full Moon?

Monday, May 12, 2014 – Following Your Fancies

Monday, we have the Queen of Cups.

Emotions settle, solidify, and stabilize. You should feel well-rested and rejuvenated. You may be more courageous today, and prone to following your moods. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It could be as simple as feeling the desire to chat when you tend to keep to yourself most days. On the other hand, that piece of chocolate on your desk will be oh-the-more tempting. If you are “addicted” to something, the desire to indulge in your bliss will be greater today.

All in all, the day is fairly peaceful with not much drama to report.

How are you feeling towards Monday?

Friday, May 9, 2014 – Nurturing

Friday, we have the Empress.

The Empress deals with nurture, the mother, the feminine, and protection. In the RWS, she is associated with Venus.

Today’s prompt focuses on nurture. What makes you feel nurtured? What do you nurture? What do you create through nurture? In a person’s chart, this would be indicated by the placement of your Moon.

A person recreates situations that reflect how they were nurtured, much like the experience was imprinted. One scenario that often occurs is a person is brought up around circumstances or behaviors that are out of the norm, but since they grew up with it, they presume it is normal, only to grow up and find out it’s not. Sometimes, the person doesn’t reach that discovery for a couple of different reasons.

How do your ideas about nurture influence your relationships, actions, and philosophy?

Thursday, May 8, 2014 – Work Behind the Scenes

Today, we have the 8 of Pentacles. Another Eight this week.

The Eight of Pentacles is associated with hard work and drudgery, much of which is “behind the scenes”. People don’t know how hard some people work to produce a certain result. Think of a public figure that produces amazing work and consider how many hours they dedicated to get there. Sometimes because a person doesn’t see the work directly, it’s assumed not much work was done to get a result. It’s not fair, but no one can read another person’s mind.

Do you feel your work is appreciated? Or, do you feel underappreciated for you contributions? Are you bothered much by lack of recognition, or are you fairly satisfied even if it’s not recognized?

Tuesday, May 6, 2014 – The Unseen

20140504-222005.jpg

Tuesday, we have the High Priestess.

The High Priestess is about what is subconscious, ethereal, or intuitive. She is about what is unseen, hidden, or taboo.

When people are busy focusing on a particular thing, they may not be aware of their surroundings. Like the video that asks you to count the number of passes players are making as an ape comes into the picture. It’s not really true that you did not see everything. Your brain sees everything, even if you are not aware. This is particularly true when you are in danger and you start acting to protect yourself without consciously knowing why. You saw, heard, or felt something, which gave information that you may not have consciously recognized. It is often reflected in an afterthought. “I knew I shouldn’t have…” “I knew I should have” “For some reason, I felt that…”

Sometimes a person’s peripheral vision is more dependable than what they see directly. Sometimes, it’s the only way to see something because it’s too small (i.e. a microscope).

When was a time your intuition gave you information on a situation? Did you listen to it?
