Sunday, February 16, 2014 – (Almost) Spring Cleaning

Sunday, we have the Pope or Heirophant.

It’s a good day to do some cleansing. Get stuff off your mind. Relax and rejuvenate.

How you do this could be very individual.

You might meditate, literally go around cleaning, do yoga, take a bubble bath, use aromatherapy, pray to your diety, go to church, do Tai Chi, practice magic, tend to your garden, pray to ancestors, talk with your friends, eat vegetarian once a week, go to confession, or more.

The point is to foster centerness and peace in yourself.

Are you at peace? Do you do something to center?

Today, we have the 6 of Wands. Charge forth to victory!

This is a very positive card associated with victory and success.

If you’re not where you want to be, push for it! If you feel down right now, know that it won’t last.

If there is something you want to accomplish, this card offers encouragement.

Is there something you want?

Friday, February 14, 2014 – High Drama

February 14 is Valentine’s Day and the last day of Chinese New Year celebration. There is also a Full Moon in Leo.

Today, we have 9 of Swords, which is usually associated with worry, mental clutter, and nightmares.

What does this card have to do with full moons?

A Full Moon gives heightened energy. It tends to be more chaotic during a full moon in general. The energy affects people. Add in Leo (drama). Are the scenarios a person manufactures in their head not dramatic? How many times has something turned out less dramatically and better than you imagined?

Now that you understand this potent energy, you can use it to your benefit. This is highly creative energy which can be used for good or ill.

What was your experience with the Full Moon in Leo?

Wednesday, February 12, 2014 – Sun and Moon

Wednesday, the Moon moves into Leo around noon CST. We also have the High Priestess.

In astrology, the next zodiac sign is supposed to trump the sign before it.

Since we have Moon in Cancer, which is a very watery and intuitive sign, proceeded by shiny Leo today, the High Priestess card seems to be a reminder to listen to one’s intuitive gifts and to honor one’s identity. One of the things the High Priestess is about is what a person intuitively knows and may or may not be consciously aware of.

These signs are ruled by the Moon and the Sun respectively. The Moon needs and the Sun shines. These are important components of one’s birth chart to satisfy and be aware of, especially if you’re not nurturing yourself enough (ignoring/denying needs) or you’re fighting against yourself. It would be similar to not nourishing yourself enough by not eating.

For information, you would look at the signs these luminaries are in in your chart along with the house and aspects.

Are you familiar with the Sun and Moon in your chart? Do you identify with your Sun sign? What about your Moon sign? Do you feel sufficiently nourished?

Tuesday, February 11, 2014 – Nostalgia

Tuesday, we have the Six of Cups.

It’s another dreamy, escapist day. The kind where it’s a ghost town by the end of the work day.

There’s opportunity to put your mind towards work today, but for many, old memories will be on the mind.

People may think of their roots, family, upbringing, and childhood (Moon in Cancer). It could be worth investigating.

Some people don’t really think of their roots or upbringing.

Do you analyze these kind of things? Or are you more focused on the present and future?
