When life takes you for a loop, you’re expected to deal with it.
If you’ve been dealing with it for awhile, negativity can start to sink in, along with the oh-so-familiar cries of victim-hood.
Boohoo, whine, whine. Why is ____ doing better than me?
But it’s a trap. It’s a distraction. See, while you’re looking over ——> there and complaining, what aren’t you doing?
Maybe you’re supposed to stay in your own lane.
“But I’m doing this, this, and this! And they have…”
Yes, but is comparing making you feel any better? It only makes you feel worse. If you focus on dealing with what’s laid in front of you, I bet you’d feel better. Complaining about the ditch isn’t going to make it grow stairs. Get shoveling.
Everybody has a different path, different abilities, and different blessings. So, comparing yourself to the next person will only lead to misery and frustration.
You’re only supposed to live YOUR life to the best of your abilities and overcome YOUR challenges, not someone else’s. The other person? Not your concern. I’ll even go so far as to say….
It’s none of your business! It’s none of your business how well or poor they’re doing. 🙂
I hope this helps people who are feeling stuck or whiny.
Are you staying in your lane? Or are you looking at the other drivers while swerving around?
